This program features national educational expert David Hyerle presenting his award winning research on "Thinking Maps and Visual Tools". Learn how to implement the eight visual tools that utilize student's fundamental cognitive skills such as comparing and contrasting, sequencing, classifying and cause-effect reasoning. Learn how to use graphic organizers to help students improve their basic reading and writing skills, improve their ability to problem solve and to develop higher order thinking skills. In this program, Hyerle illustrates how graphic organizers can be used in a wide variety of applications including their use with special needs students.
