Developed in cooperation with the Ohio Principals Literacy Network, this 12 hour program focuses on how to develop a literacy curriculum in your school. Observe actual classroom lessons utilizing shared reading, reading aloud, and guided reading strategies for both the primary and intermediate grades. Hear how the lessons were developed, implemented, and most importantly, the results. Visit "literacy rich" classrooms to see first hand the tools and teaching methods used in these highly successful classrooms. View a workshop presented by nationally recognized expert Marcia Freeman who provides insight into creating an effective school wide writing program. Hear from esteemed educational author, Doug Reeves on how the standards based movement has affected literacy instruction.
